Integrated City is a city where various urban elements (housing, transport,
infrastructure, services, and business) are well-connected and work together
cohesively. The goal is to create a seamless and efficient urban environment where all
parts of the city are interlinked, improving mobility, reducing inefficiencies, and
enhancing the quality of life for residents.
Sustainable City focuses on long-term ecological, economic, and social sustainability.
It emphasizes using resources efficiently, minimizing environmental impact, reducing
waste and pollution, and providing equitable opportunities for all residents. A
sustainable city aims to balance economic development, environmental protection, and
social well-being.
When both principles of integration and sustainability are implemented in a single city,
the result is a highly efficient, eco-friendly urban environment that provides a high
quality of life for its residents. An integrated and sustainable city will have:
• Efficient use of resources, with green technologies and sustainable
infrastructure.
• Connected transportation systemsthat reduce traffic congestion and pollution.
• Equitable access to services and opportunities for all citizens.
• Low environmental impact through energy efficiency, waste reduction, and
eco-friendly policies.
In essence, combining these two principles would lead to a well-functioning, resilient
city that is both liveable and environmentally responsible, ensuring a better future for
all residents. |
